Today’s the Day!


It’s never too late to start living a healthy life, why not start today. Are you telling yourself, “I’ll start on Monday, after some event, or some date has passed, then I’ll start?”

You can take small steps right now that will add up over time and before you know it, you’re feeling better, getting out more and those old unhealthy habits will be a thing of the past.

Pick one or two things to start with – stick to them for a month before adding in (or taking out) something else. That way, you’ve started forming new habits and won’t feel overwhelmed.

Here are some ideas:
Drink ½ of your body weight in ounces of water each day,
Take your supplements daily,
Taking the dog on a walk (or just go on a walk if you don’t have a dog),
Do some basic exercises you can do at home (squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, etc.),
Sit less – Try to get up and move at least once per hour
Cut back on sugar… a little at a time so you’re not feeling deprived,
Eliminate soda from your diet (including sugar free)
Cook from scratch and eat less from boxes and/or packages
Choose organic produce and local, pasture raised beef, free range chicken and eggs
Do some sort of mindfulness practice (meditate, yoga, sitting in nature, deep breathing, etc.)
Switch to non-toxic cleaning products, hair care products, makeup, lotions, candles, air freshener, etc.
Start using essential oils for perfume, air freshener, and for general health
Cut back on the amount of alcohol you consume
Quit smoking
Reduce your screen time, especially before bed
Get 7-8 hours of sleep a night
